This project began with a simple question: how can I get more people to visit their local parks? Taking inspiration from games such as Pokemon Go, Cryptid Hunters uses real time GPS data to track player movement and spawn encounters using a series of ‘point of interest’ locations, which can be local, state, or national landmarks. These unique locations also feature XP bonuses and unique items to encourage players to go out and explore the world around them.
